It is a Media Agency established in 1989 by four large groups from the US advertising industry: the LEO BURNETT GROUP, DMBB, YOUNG RUBICAM and GREY GROUP.

By the mid-2000s, fifteen years later, the groups had set up their own media businesses with their own organizational structures, and these were in turnabsorbed by other groups.

In 2006, the company's executives took control through a classic management buyout.
